David began his career in 1999 at Deutsche Bank, joining its graduate program and working in proprietary trading across global markets. Over the following years he held senior roles in convertible bond and relative-value strategies at Plexus Partners, Bank of America / Merrill Lynch, and Blue Mountain Capital Management, managing portfolios spanning Europe, the US, and Asia.
Throughout this period he developed a parallel interest in technology—building analytical and risk-management tools using C#, SQL, and web technologies to support trading and data workflows. That practical experience in software development eventually evolved into full-time engineering work.
Between 2017 and 2025, Rigg Williams developed and operated several independent software platforms, including Club2Class (a results and ranking platform for the sailing community) and Magaroo (a local-commerce platform launched during the pandemic). The company also designed and hosts community and small-business websites where reliability and simplicity are priorities.
Today, Rigg Williams focuses on strategic technology & data consulting, delivering systems for financial and analytical organisations, and supporting a small number of ongoing client projects.
